Taylor: Emma Irene (née Haines) –
A resident of Ridgetown, Irene Taylor passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on January 8, 2024 at the age of 97 with her family by her side.
Born in Chatham, Irene was the daughter of Noah and Neta (née Spence) Haines.
Beloved wife for 47 years to the late Max E.Taylor (1989).
Survived by her Children, Doug (Pat), Bev (Lynda), Don (Cindy), Susan (Tom) MacDonald, Mary Alice (Chris) Pickering.
Grandma/GG will be remembered and forever loved by her many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Predeceased by her siblings Les Haines, Hilda Valiquette. Survived by Sister-in-Law Marg Haines and many Nieces and Nephews.
Irene was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary and in lieu of flowers donations made in her memory to the Ridgetown Legion Branch 243 Ladies Auxiliary or to Erie Street United Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
The family is to receive friends on Friday January 12th, 2024 at McKinlay Funeral Homes in Ridgetown from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. in the afternoon and from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. in the evening. A funeral service for Irene will take place the following day on Saturday January 13th at 1:00p.m. at the Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Lynn Wilson.
