Reaume: William Alexander Joseph –
A resident of Chatham, Bill Reaume passed away holding his wife’s hand surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on November 2, 2024 at the age of 84.
Born in Chatham, William was the son of Edward and Ethel (née Ackert) Reaume.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Carolyn (née Wilson).
Survived by Two Sons, Jason (Jodie) Reaume, Glen (Connie) Reaume; Grandson, Jarren Reaume; Granddaughter Delaney Reaume.
Brother to Janet, and Bernie (Donna) Reaume. Predeceased by Bonnie (Jerry) Bishop, Jim Reaume and Carl Reaume.
Brother in law to the late Ron Wilson, Bill Wilson, Brad Wilson and Becky Lansue. Survived by in-laws Elaine Wilson, Diane Wilson, Rose Wilson, Larry Lansue, Tom Wilson, Rick and Betty Wilson, John and Glenda McDonald.
Forever remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a dedicated worker and plant chairman at Motor Wheel for 25 years. He was a member of the local U.A.W. LOCAL C.A.W. #127. After Motor Wheel, he became a franchisee of Donut Delite with one of his sons Glen in West Lorne.
He will be remembered for his sense of humour and all of his one-liners. Memories were made at the trailer in Summer Place, Rondeau where Bill loved camping, fishing, boating and most of all being with his family. Papa’s pride and joy were his grandchildren Jarren and Delaney.
A visitation period will be held Tuesday November 5th 2024, at McKinlay Funeral Home from 7pm to 9pm, and a Funeral Service will be held the following day at 11am on November 6th, 2024.
Donations made in memory of Bill to the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
