Obituary of Barb Troyer
A resident of Chatham, Barbara Troyer (nee Benning) peacefully passed away, with her two daughters by her side, on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
She was the daughter of the late Floyd & Florence (nee Garlick) Benning.
Remembered always by her two daughters, Cheryl Schrank (the late Allan) & Deb Fraser.
Grandma Barb to Chuck Young (Shannon), Chris Young (Katie), Carrie Dungey (Kevin), Tyler Fraser (Cassandra), Troy Fraser (Ashley), & Trista Dibbley (Jeff).
Great-grandma of Hunter, Mikhayla (Rhys), Anikah (Greg), Elijah, Kiera, Isaac, Karis, Gwendolyn, Selina, Kayden & Evan.
Great-great-grandma of 3.
Sister of Carole Milner (the late Jim). Predeceased by her brother, Ted Benning.
Missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family.
Barb retired from Kent & Es Mutual Insurance Company after 39 years, working her way up to Manager of the Company. She was a member of Thames Christian Fellowship. Barb was an avid Blue Jays Fan and enjoyed watching baseball, curling, golf and the Shopping Channel. During her life, she traveled to many places with friends and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family to receive friends on Friday, November 17th, 2023 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Visitation will take place at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home on Saturday with a Memorial Service for Barb held at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Burial at a later date.
Memorial Donations may be made to Thames Christian Fellowship or to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
