Douglas Mirrlees,
Beloved husband of Yvonne. Loving father of Jessica, Joe, Laura, and Mike. Proud grandfather of Catherine, Anthony, and Alicia.
Doug was a lifetime resident of the Town of Richmond Hill. A hard-working, dedicated man, Doug had a happy 26-year career as a pressman at Ronald’s Printing followed by a 14-year career at KTM Locks. Doug also proudly worked part-time for the Town of Richmond Hill for 36 years; a job he always attributed to keeping him young at heart. Further, Doug was honoured to have carried on his family’s legacy of working at the Presbyterian Cemetery for over 60 years.
A lover of old cars and driving, and a compassionate friend, Doug will be greatly missed by his family, relatives, and friends.
Friends and family may gather at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, on Friday October 18th from 2-4 p.m. in the lower lounge.
It was Doug’s wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church Restoration fund in his memory.
