Passed peacefully, in his sleep, on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Barbara “Babs” for 54 years; loving father of Karen and Tina; father-in-law of Chad and Chris; proud grandfather “Pops” of Danielle and Michael; and dear brother of Josephine Gibson and the late Rob Grant. Ben will be deeply missed by all his extended family and his many friends.
Ben was an incredible man who will never be forgotten. He had a passion for guitar playing and music, a love of bringing family and friends together for a lot of fun, a strong determination to support and care for his wife and children, and the patience and desire to bring out the best in everyone he met.
The family will be having a private cremation ceremony. A celebration of Ben’s life will be held in July in the traditional Grant “party” style. The family will be reaching out with details closer to that date.
For those who wish, donations in Ben’s honour to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
