It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Hilda Gertrude Ogden, at Groves Park Lodge on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, in her 95th year.
Devoted wife of James Ogden of 55 years. Predeceased by her first husband Leonard Blimkie. Loving mother to Terry (Chit) Blimkie, Brenda (Peter) Sparling, Melvin (Jill) Blimkie, Jeff (Christine) Blimkie and Lynn (Robert) Dykeman.
She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly by her grandchildren Paul (Natasha) Blimkie, Dr. Leslie Blimkie (Jason Tomczyk), Kyle (Lauren) Ferguson, Nick Sparling, Julie (Mike) Kelly, Melanie (Ryan) Irving, Brittany (Brent) Byce and Joshua Parsons.
She was overjoyed with her 13 great grand children, Kieran, Conor, Emma, Blair, Holden, Jovie, Cara (predeceased), Ryker, Isla, Scarlett, Xavier, Colby and Callie who will cherish every memory of her. She will be missed dearly by all her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Rowland and Eleanor Marston, brothers Basil, Tim and Gerald and sisters Gladys, Winifred and Beatrice. Hilda loved her Lord and was a longstanding member of the congregation at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church. A special thank you of appreciation to the staff, caregivers, PSWs, nurses and Dr. Langlois at Groves Park Lodge, for the wonderful care given to our mother.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church, 460 Raglan Street South at 1:00 pm. A burial will be held at Admaston Cemetery in the Spring of 2024.
