Ann Ingram Pountney (nee Watt)
April 7, 1926 – November 28, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ann Pountney at Hospice Renfrew on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 in her 98th year. Cherished daughter of the late James and Peggy Watt of Cawdor, Scotland. Beloved wife for 69 years to Weldon “Red” Pountney. Loving mother of Patricia (late Bob) Bouchard and Alex (Gladys) Pountney. Dear grandmother to Rob, Matt, Sean and Sarah and great grandmother to Ocean Bouchard and Sawyer Pountney.
Ann came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She spent many happy hours outside in her garden and at the family cottage. She was a much loved Children’s Librarian for many years at the Renfrew Public Library. She had a large group of friends and neighbour’s who were always welcome for a chat and a cup of tea. She wished to thank all of her caregivers, Dr. Bodig, palliative care nurses, PSW’s and all of the wonderful caring staff and volunteers at Hospice Renfrew.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. A private family service will be held on Wednesday December 6th, 2023 in the Zohr Family Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Renfrew are welcomed and appreciated by the family. Condolences and donations may be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
