Gary’s Obituary
Gary passed away peacefully at his residence at the age of 83. He was born in Collingwood, Nova Scotia.
He is survived by his brother Kevin Ripley, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, nieces and nephews in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Massachusetts and Florida, USA.
He was predeceased by his parents Allison and Elma, wife Carol (Mills) Ripley, brother Wayne Ripley, and sister Joy Demings.
He graduated from Oxford High School and from the University of Massachusetts Turf Management Course. He was employed by Campbell Mine for 38 years in the Recreation Department mainly at the golf course and curling rink.
He enjoyed volunteering for the Red Lake Golf Course, Balmertown Curling Rink, McNeely Boat Club, Chukuni Development Corporation and Municipal Committees.
Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date with interment in the Balmertown Columbarium with his late wife Carol.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital Auxiliary through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
