It is with great sadness that I announce the death of William ‘Ross’ Todd.
He was born February 15, 1937 and passed peacefully February 26, 2024. Ross is preceded in death by his beloved wife Gloria Elizabeth (Gardner) Todd.
He is survived by his daughter Catherine Elizabeth Valcourt and her partner Robert.
His cherished granddaughter Ashley-Anne, her husband Doug Donnelly and treasured grandson Travis.
He also leaves behind the sparkle in his eyes that are his great-grandchildren Alannah and Aiden.
Dad has requested a family graveside ceremony in Norwood where he will rest for eternity with mom.
I do believe that mom is probably scolding dad right now, in true Gloria form, she had both their funerals meticulously planned down to what type of finger foods to serve.
So, therefore I did not get to speak or write at hers so I’m making up for that now…
I would like to thank the Dr.’s and nurses at NHH, the care that dad received this past month was exemplary.
The Palliative Care Unit .. what a team! I will be forever grateful for the insight and caring. Not only for my dad this last week but for myself and family as well.
I spent day and night with dad for the last few days of his life, along with Ashley. We grew to love him even more and finally to understand how proud of a man he was. I will be eternally grateful for those last days. We laughed, cried and made some memories. It was hard but it completed the circle of life and I am honored and humbled to have been present, not only in his life but in his death as well.
Rest in Peace dad
