Obituary of Betty Wells
WELLS, Elizabeth “Betty” of Port Dover passed away on October 30th in her 94th year, predeceased by Councillor Big John Wells. Cherished mother of John, Dean, Lisa & Betsy. Grandmother of Elizabeth, Heather, Sarah & Kevin. Betty was a long-time resident of Port Dover and an active community member. She was a teacher for over 25 years and then operated various businesses in Port Dover including her favourite, Dover Lodge bed and breakfast for over 14 years. Betty was a member of the horticultural society and a Lioness for many years. In keeping with Betty’s wishes a cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in the spring so all long-distance family will be able to attend. For those wishing memorial donations can be made to either the Grace United Church or the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.
