Angela “Cristina” Pinelli (née Martelli)
It is with great sadness and much love that our family announces her passing at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Monday, January 29, 2024, in her 94th year.
Angela was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and spent her final days surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Nicola Pinelli (2013). Devoted mother to Donato (Helene), Elena, and the late Nunzio “Joe” Pinelli (Lucie). Cherished grandmother of Christina (Patrick Henry), Lisa (Joe Kottoor), Sandra (Joel Beaupre), Sara (John Moran), Nicholas Pinelli (Tanya), Lynda Pinelli (Ryan Cirillo), and Andrea (Daniel Arscott). Loving Bis Nonna (great-grandmother) of Daniel,
William, Isabella, Valentina, Katrina, Finn, Vienna, Hudson, Alexandria, Leia, and Charlie. Survived by her brother-in-law, Vince (Josephine), as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Liberato Martelli and survived by her sister-in-law Josephine Martelli and nephew Bruno Martelli.
Cristina was born in Roccamandolfi, Italy on September 19, 1930. She immigrated to Canada in 1956 and settled in Port Colborne with her husband and young family. Angela’s life passion was caring and cooking for her family and friends. She will be loved and missed by her family, who are deeply grateful for all of her sacrifices.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dawher, Dr. Wong, Dr. Madison, the wonderful nurses, and the caring staff of the Medical/Nephrology wing of the St. Catharines General Hospital. We would also like to thank the compassionate staff and devoted Sisters of the Mount Carmel Retirement Home, where Angela spent the last fourteen years of her life.
Family and friends will be received at the Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm, service to follow in the chapel, with Father Peter Walton officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Catharines General Hospital) or to the MacMaster Children’s Hospital (Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation) at donations@hamiltonhealth.ca.
