VARTY, John Bruce

Entered into rest at Trenton Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, Bruce Varty, formerly of Brighton and Brampton, died at the age of 85. Retired from Northern Telecom (Nortel). He was the son of the late John and Doris Varty, the brother of the late Harvey, and was the beloved husband for 56 years to Ann Varty (pre-deceased July 1, 2022). A productive life, well lived. Bruce will always be remembered by his family of whom he was so proud. Bruce was the loving father of David (Mariana) of Brighton and Christine Daly (Sean) of Brampton. He was the dearest grandfather of Fiona, Dean, James, Saoirse and Carraig. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and neighbours.
Mr. Varty is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street, (613-476-2450). A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on October 26, 2024 at 2 p.m. A Private Inurnment at Glenwood Cemetery will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Trent Valley Lodge Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
