Passed away peacefully on October 25th at St Joseph’s at Fleming in her 93rd year.
Her memory will be held close in the hearts of her children, Brenda Lunn (Ted), Bob (Brenda), Nancy Halliwell (Gary), Tammy Delahey (Fred), Tracy (Nancy) and Peter (Mary).
She will be sadly missed by her Grandchildren, Heather McLean (Jay Bolton), Kelly Kendrick (George) Kim Fawcett (Lyle), Barb McNabb (Nick), Ashleigh Van Leeuwen, Taylor Robinson (Kate Kolyn), Mackenzie Nelson (Derek) Mike Lunn (Amanda) Julia Robinson, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Predeceased by, but soon to be reunited with, spouse Bob, daughter Patty Steadman, and grandson, Jeffri Lunn.
Our Mom taught us that a smile is the best thing you can wear, to be kind to everyone you meet and always look for the best in people. Mom ensured we had a wonderful childhood, were well fed, clothed and she encouraged us to be brave, kind and honest in all our endeavours. We always felt her unconditional love.
When her youngest was in school full-time Mom went to work at Co-operators Insurance, where she managed the mailroom until her retirement.
Mom thoroughly enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being a Mom and excelled at it. We can all only hope to become as happy and content as our Mom was.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rubidge Retirement Residence and St Joseph’s at Fleming for the wonderful care and kindness given to Mom over the past 5 years.
At Mom’s request there will be a private family graveside service.
