Steve passed away suddenly at the PRHC on May 14. Steve will be deeply missed by his soulmate, best friend and love of his life Rita and their daughter Rachel (Arzaan Irani). He is also survived by his brother Jim (Nancy) and many brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Steve and Rita met during his time with Big V Pharmacies. Steve was the owner of the Finishing Touch Card and Gift Shop in Downtown Peterborough where he was the DBIA chair. Steve retired early to be a stay-at-home dad for Rachel and to keep the house in order while Rita was busy with her career. During retirement, Steve was the Chair of the Condo Corporation and laid the foundation for the new condos at Ferghana.
Steve could be found driving his Mustang, and you could hear it roar around town. Steve was the most thoughtful person and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved biking, golfing, traveling, and watching sports. Steve enjoyed Thursday nights watching his Petes as a season ticket holder. He loved his Hamilton Tiger Cats, Oskee Wee Wee!
He will be remembered for his quick wit, and he was a reliable source of laughter and smiles at every gathering. As Steve would say “I’ve had a good run”.
Please join us to celebrate Steve’s life at Farmhill Weddings 2709 Dillon Road, Keene on May 23 from 2pm-6pm. A Caesar toast will be held at 3pm and guests are welcome to share their memories of Steve. Flowers can be sent to Farmhill Weddings and donations can be made in Steve’s honour to the PRHC Foundation.
