Mom, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Nana, Cousin, Niece, Friend. Wife of 40+ yrs of Neil Stockdale (Norwood). Mom of Terry Stockdale (Oshawa) and Jeff Stockdale (Norwood).
Sister of Dan (Linda), Linda (Brian Snodden), Wendy Dunfee, Lori, Jeff (Barb). Sister-in-law of Marg (Stan Traynor), Jim (Joanne), Sheila (Ron Peters), Vern (Marion).
Survived by many very special nieces and nephews, and cousins. Aunts Pat (Guy Mathieu), Shirley Hunter, and Sheila Graham. Predeceased by parents Garland (Red) and Grace (Post) Wilson, as well as In-laws Clarence and Ethel (Oliver) Stockdale.
Shirley passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a long battle with a ferocious cancer. She never stopped fighting to stay. Shirley’s wish is that donations be made to Norwood Hospice. Shirley loved her flowers, gardens, canning, photography, her goats and her pets. She enjoyed entering any fair category she set her mind to and kept every ribbon she won. Shirley had many hats including but not limited to health care aid, dairy farmer, group home worker, educational assistant and boer goat herd owner. Visitation at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Tuesday, May 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30pm followed by a funeral service in the Highland Chapel at 1:00pm .
