Shane Gordon Dinesen
January 26, 1972 – September 15, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on September 15, 2024, at the age of 52 years.  Shane was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario. Son of Dianne (Nokes) and Harold Dinesen (Joan Dawson). He was a twin brother to Charlene Banbury (Trevor Banbury) and older brother to Michael Dinesen (Lucilla Liu).  He will be deeply missed by his nephews Scott Banbury and Ian Banbury, nieces Emma and Megan Dinesen. Shane was known for his soft-spoken nature, his kindness, generosity to others and his appreciation of art. Shane had an artistic talent in the creation of charcoal and pencil sketches.
Thank you to the staff at PRHC Palliative Care Unit and of B6 for their care, kindness, and respect shown to him in his final days.
A service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, at 1:00pm, St. Luke’s Church on 566 Armour Road, Peterborough. A reception to follow 2:00-3:30 pm in the church hall. There will be a private family internment at Little Lake Cemetery at 4pm. Donations in memory of Shane can be made to St. Luke’s Church or to CMHA. (Canadian Mental Health Association at cmha.donordrive.com) or a charity of choice.
