Rose Milligan (nee Daynes) Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Rose Marie Milligan (nee Daynes) at PRHC on Sunday December 24, 2023 in her 92nd year, surrounded by family.
She now joins her best friend and husband of 61 years, the late Ronald William Milligan.
Loving mother of Richard (late Sienna), of Peterborough, Robin (Michelle) of Belleville, Rosanne (Marvin) of Newington, Randy (Sue) of Fowlers Corners, Omemee. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Ronald Milligan Jr.
Devoted grandmother of Jenn (Dav), Jenna (John), Kristyn, Josh, Alyssa, Miranda (Jason) and great grandmother of Jasper.
Sister of Earl Daynes (Nancy) of Peterborough, Sister-in-law of Frank Milligan (late Donna) of Burlington.
Survived by several nieces, a nephew, and her devoted furry friend Angel.
She will be remembered for her dedication as a nurse’s aide at Marycrest in Peterborough.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. An open reception for friends who wish to attend and pay their condolences will be held on January 4th, 2024 from 2PM – 4PM at Highland Funeral Centre (2510 BENSFORT ROAD, PETERBOROUGH) . A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Peterborough Humane Society, Lakefield Animal Welfare Society or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
