GRAHAM, Ronald James – While surrounded by his family, Ron passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 81. Ron, beloved husband, and best friend of Jean (nee Mansfield). Loving and devoted father of Jamie and his wife Julie. Proud grandfather of Kira and Alexa. Cherished brother-in-law of Greg Mansfield (the late Cate) and Brad Mansfield (Beth). Dear uncle of Charles Gay and Carmen Mansfield. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Hazel (nee McRoberts) Gay, and brother Ross Gay (the late Doreen). Ron will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, kind father, proud grandfather, and friend to many. Ron was a dedicated educator throughout his working career with a zest for fun and social activity in retirement. He enjoyed travelling and was an enthusiastic participant in his hobbies, including bowling, billiards, golf and especially card games with friends and family. There was never a conversation he didn’t enjoy or a dinner plate he left unfinished.
His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the countless moments of happiness he shared. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation and a private gathering will be held on Friday, August 9.
