Crossman, Ronald Edward
In his 74th year (born June 27, 1950). Ron, also known by his nickname “Crunch”, passed away on the morning of June 5, 2024, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a hard fought battle with lung disease. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Marion (nee: Peters), his sister, Arlene, and his brothers, Arthur Jr., Larry, Bob and Philip. He is survived by his loving sister, Catherine Laton, an aunt and uncle, several nieces and nephews, many cousins and many, many friends.
Ron kept a watchful eye on his family and friends. He had a heart of gold. Ron also did a lot of volunteer work for many causes in and around Peterborough. Crunch was a knowledgeable sports participant and fan, especially when it came to baseball, hockey and football. Regrettably, none of his family or friends were ever able to convince him to quit cheering for the Yankees or to go easy on the Leafs.
Ron will be loved and missed. A celebration of Ron’s life involving family and friends will take place at the LIONS COMMUNITY CENTRE, 347 Burnham Street, Peterborough, on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you wish to make a gift in memory of Ron a donation to the Peterborough Humane Society would be an ideal gift.
