April 13, 1945 – January 16, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roger Mahoney, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Carol (Fox), father of Jodi Dawson (Eric) and Scott (Anne). Loving papa to Joe Dawson (Victoria), Mike Dawson (Maddie), Erin Mahoney (Brock), Regan Mahoney (Jac) and Devon Mahoney. Great papa to Lettie Timmermans. Roger was a proud City of Peterborough Fire Fighter for over 32 years. He was an avid sportsman, riding horses in Western competitions and motorcycles in motor cross and enduro competitions. He enjoyed many years of camping, playing golf and spending winters in Florida with Carol. Roger will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A memorial reception will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Ashburnham Funeral Home – 840 Armour Road, Peterborough. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the VON – Peterborough, Victoria and Haliburton Branch, Day program would be greatly appreciated.
