COOK, Rick
Richard Philip Cook was born on April 26, 1949, in Ottawa to Edward and Margaret Cook. He lived Yarm, Quebec, Perth, St Ola, and Cardiff. He worked for the Lands and Forests in Bancroft before taking a job as a civilian radio operator for the OPP Starting in Peterborough then moving to GHQ in Orillia.
After retirement Rick took pleasure in his daily strolls to chat with locals over a coffee at Tim Hortons. In later years he enjoyed playing video games, watching sports, and listening to music. At one time he acted as a disc jockey and has an impressive record collection. He especially liked the music of the 60s.
He passed away peacefully in PRHC on Wednesday, October 11 following a short illness. Our sincere thanks to the staff who provided Rick with such excellent care.
He is predeceased by his father and mother. He will be missed by his brother, Steve, sister-in-law Karen, nephew Darryl, and niece Jen.
Donations can be made to PRHC Foundation or a charity of your choice. At Rick’s request there will be no service.
