PRESTON, Ralph Sinclair Passed away after a short stay at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the age of 80. Ralph will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 43 years, Russet Preston (née Vokes). Proud father of Shawn Preston (Jennifer), Krisanne Grills (Roy), Morgan Preston (Lynn), Grant Preston, and Skye Preston (Eric). Cherished grandfather of Dani Preston; Hannah, Matthew, and Emily Grills; Liam and Amelia Preston. Dear brother of Gail Gault (Dave).
Ralph was a man of many talents. He loved his family, his boats, and his numerous pieces of equipment. He joined the army at a young age, was a diesel mechanic, a sailor, a truck driver, an ambulance attendant, a mudlogger in the oilfield, a realtor and an emu farmer. He loved people and had a wicked sense of humour. Ralph had a strong bond with God and tried to live his best life. He has struggled with his health in his later years but Ralph tackled his final challenges with dignity and calm acceptance.
Thank you to all who kept Ralph in their prayers. No formal funeral service will be held. At a later date, a private gathering will take place for family and friends to reminisce and share memories of Ralph.
