FREDERICK, Ralph
1947-2024
Ralph lost his battle with dementia which ravaged his mind and body in three short years. Ralph was a professor, teaching electronics at Fleming College for over 25 years then moved over to the electronics shop at Trent University, where he so loved working with the guys in the shop and fixing all of the strange electronics for the professors. As they said, “there was nothing he couldn’t fix”. Ralph was an amateur radio operator for over 50 years, which allowed him to stay connected to family in Winnipeg and in New Zealand. His hobby of Radio Control (RC) devices took him from cars, to boats, then moving into the love of flying his planes and helicopters, as well as drones. He loved camping, boating, and riding motorcycles and walking his dog, Banks.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Reta of 44 years, two sons Richard (Jacky) and Kristopher. His granddaughter Hailey and two grandsons Mason and Ryker. His big brother Gilbert of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews.
We are so thankful to all the staff at Riverview and the GAB unit at PRHC for their loving care and kindness. At Ralph’s request there will be no service. To leave condolences please visit his Book of Memories at www.communityalternative.ca
