MARTIGNETTI, Mario (Long time Parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and Volunteer with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul): Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Hospice Peterborough on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 in his 94th year. Mario, beloved husband of 63 years to the late Maria Martignetti (nee Polcaro). Loving and devoted father of Angelo, Teresa Meier (Andrew), Lina Halstead (Larry), and Antonio (Celeste). Cherished Nonno of Amanda, Adam, Lucas (Maddie), Christina (Jeff), Michael, Jeffrey (Mary-Anne), Nina, and Great Nonno of Owen, Myles, and Nathan. Dear brother of Massimo, and predeceased by his sister Angela, and brothers Salvatore and Nicola. Brother-in-law of Rina and Marisa. Visitation will take place at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Monday, June 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. (Parish Prayers 5:45pm). Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:00am. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those not able to attend in person can view Mario’s Funeral Mass via live streamed, the link for which will be on his obituary page. In memory of Mario, donations to Hospice Peterborough or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated by his family. Mario’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Hospice Peterborough and the Doctor’s and Nurse’s of PRHC for the compassion shown to Mario and his family during his time with them.
