Lynn Susan Lambert
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we say goodbye to Lynn Susan Lambert (nee Frauts.) Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on June 22, 2024 after a brief but brave battle with cancer, in her 73rd year.
Beloved wife of Kenneth for 42 years. Loving mother of Jenilee and James. Dearest daughter of Grace Bensler and the late Ronald Frauts Sr. She will be greatly missed by her brothers Ronald Frauts (Lori) and John Frauts (Susan) and her nieces and nephews.
Born in Oshawa, Ontario, Lynn lived there until she attended Nursing School in Toronto in 1970. She lived in Toronto until 1976 before returning to Oshawa, when she bought her first home and met the love of her life, Kenneth. She lived in Oshawa until 1988 when Lynn, Ken and their 2 young children moved to Millbrook. Lynn was happy to leave the city life behind and loved country living. She spent her happiest years here.
Graduating from the Atkinson School of Nursing at Toronto Western Hospital in 1973, Lynn was a Registered Nurse for 10 years before becoming a mother to her 2 children of whom she said were her greatest accomplishment.
She was an avid cross-stitcher and took great pride in caring for her many houseplants in her later years. Reading was another one of her passions and in her younger years, she had a large vegetable garden and flower beds she tended to.
Lynn enjoyed listening to music and wasn’t partial to any particular genre. She had an eclectic taste and liked songs from pop, country, folk – anything but opera, but had a soft spot for music from the 60’s. She loved to sing along.
She was a lover of animals, especially dogs, and had a special bond with her beloved dog, Lucy.
As per Lynn’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no funeral.
If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or another charity of your choice in Lynn’s memory.
Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road.
And the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom filled room.
Why cry for a soul that is free?
Miss me a little, but not for long.
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me, but let me go!
For this is a journey we all must take.
And each must go alone.
It is all part of the master plan.
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart.
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do,
Miss me, but let me go!
