Franks, Lois Elizabeth (Fallis)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lois Franks in her 93rd year on May 7, 2024 at Extendicare Peterborough.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents Ira and Audrey Fallis, her husband Donald Franks (2000), and sister Joan Spier (2024 – and her late husband Jack). She is survived by brothers Lewis (Winnie), Glenn (Sandra) and Douglas (Rita), and her children Larry (Marion), Robert (Barb) and Ann Nelson (Gary). Cherished grandmother to Heather (Rennie), Kim (Shawn), Scott (Becky), Courtney (Jay), Beth (Dave), and Ashley (Brian), and special great grandmother to Emily, Logan, Lexie, Jack, Raymond, Vivian, Jaxson, Blake, Brielle, Evelyn, Martin, Miley, and Lou.
She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, her friends at St. James Church, and her many friends she played cards with over the years; more recently those at Kawartha Heights Retirement Living.
Lois was a farm girl at heart with a love of all animals and anything she grew in her garden and flowerbeds. Her and Don operated a successful dairy farm where their life and business was a true partnership.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 9 am to 11 am, followed by a Memorial service at 11 am, at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, Ont.
