CHUN, Helen Joan
Passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on Monday, December 4, 2023 in her 85th year. Loving mother of John Chun (Donna), Toylene Chun, Lawana Chun-Turner and Monica Pantalone (Tony). Cherished grandmother of Michael, Daniel, Heather (Chuck), Emily (Kyle), Robert, Aurelia (Tony) and Raquel. Dear sister of Heidi (Gerry), Gail (Mario), Jim, Wayne and Leo (Anita). Helen was predeceased by her older brother, John and sister-in-law, Shirley. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family. Helen spent her early years in St. Johns, Newfoundland but she called Peterborough her home for over sixty years. Together with her former husband and now long-time friend Lloyd Chun, she raised her children and taught them the value of hard work and with determination, anything is possible. She will be remembered as an accomplished businesswoman, someone with an appreciation for antiques and fine craftsmanship. In accordance with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service in the springtime.
