BEGLEY, Eleanor (nee Grady, Long Time Employee of Outboard Marine): Peacefully at Fairhaven Home on Thursday, January 11th 2024 at the age of 100 years – a former Miss Peterborough 1957. Eleanor, beloved wife of the late Harold Begley. Loving mother of Dave (Debbie). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Kaytlynn (Aaron), Shawn (Kelly), David (Andrea), Scott (Shontelle), and by her great grandchildren: Calyx, Drizzt, Tanis, Braeden, Carly, Ella, Michael, and Sheyanne. Dear sister-in-law of Pearl Grady (late Vern), Elizabeth Arnold (late John) and Theresa Quartermain (Art). Remembered lovingly by several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was the daughter of Joseph and Johanna Grady (nee Twomey) and is the last surviving member of the Grady family of Park Street South, a charter family who assisted in establishing Sacred Heart Church in 1909. Eleanor is predeceased by her brothers, Lawrence, Gerald (late Dorothy Tooker), Clare (late Irene), Fergus, Vernon, and John, her sisters, Dorothy (late Bill Hoey) and Marie Grady. She is also predeceased by her brothers-in-law Bill Begley and Gerard Begley (late Bernice) and by her sister-in-law Marie Begley. Visitation at Highland Park Funeral Centre on Saturday, January 20th from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, January 20th at 11:00 am.
