SHARPE, Edna (nee Terry) born June 8, 1926 Nottingham, England – died June 8, 2024 Peterborough, ON: Peacefully on her 98th birthday. Wife of the late George Sharpe (d. 1992). Edna and George met in the Royal Navy in Scotland. Soon after, they married and began to raise a family. Wanting to give their children a better life they immigrated and settled in Toronto, ON. Many years later in their retirement they moved to Bobcaygeon, ON. Finally, in 2013, she moved to Peterborough, ON. Edna is the loving mother of Christine Stubensey (Larry, deceased), and Lynne Jones. Grandmother of Allen Stubensey (Christine), Lynne Symons (Kearan), and Colin Jones (Laura). Great Grandmother of Liam, Rhys, Ben and Charlie. Edna’s family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph’s at Fleming (Creekside) for taking such good care of her in the last two and a half years of her life.
