With sorrowful hearts we announce the death of Douglas Bruce.
Doug passed away on the morning of May 8th, leaving behind a legacy of love and zest for life. He is survived by his loving daughters, Vanessa Bruce (Matt) and Kathleen Bruce, along with cherished grandchildren Lilah, Dream, Delaney, Oslo, Elodie, and the anticipation of Baby Light, expected in August 2024.
Doug also leaves behind his dear brother, Barry Bruce (Barb), sister, Karen (Tom), and his steadfast fishing companion and best friend, John Crossley.
Throughout his life, Doug embraced every opportunity for excitement, whether it was navigating the waters, carving through the slopes, or cruising down the open road. Even during his long tenure at GM, his adventurous spirit remained unyielding. He was a beacon of spontaneity and thrill-seeking, always eager for the next exhilarating experience.
In Doug’s departure, he joins his beloved parents, Jack and Beryl, in their eternal rest. Though he has bid farewell to this earthly realm, his indomitable spirit and love for adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Doug’s journey may have reached its earthly conclusion, but undoubtedly, his next great adventure awaits.
