With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Diana Woodford on January 28, 2024 in her 80th year. She passed peacefully at PRHC, surrounded by family.
Diana is survived by Vic, her cherished husband of 58 years. She was a loving Mother to their three children; Ron, Bob, and Deb. She will be fondly remembered by her favourite Aunt Vickie of Kelowna, BC.
Diana was a proud prairie girl born in Canora, Sask. on July 8, 1944. She moved to Hamilton, ON in her early teens. She met the love of her life at Sauble Beach in 1964 and the rest is history.
Diana is fondly remembered for her love of cooking. She was the best Ukranian cook! There was never a shortage of food whether she was making a family dinner or catering a function. Cooking and baking were her joy.
We send a heartfelt thank you to the VON staff for taking such good care of Mom. Also, thank you to Dr. Yeung and staff at the Cancer Centre.
Thank you to Dr. Morelli and Palliative Care for helping Mom pass peacefully. And the biggest thank you to Dad for being Mom’s greatest caregiver.
The family has chosen to have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
