David Brendan Feairs
August 30, 1984-December 27, 2023
After more than seven years of living courageously and simply, every day, in the face of all trials and limits imposed by a terminal brain cancer, David passed away at Hospice Peterborough in the early hours of December 27.
Mourned and forever missed by his parents Fran and Jim, big brother Jon and sister-in-law Emily, beloved nephews Theo and Hugo, and dear aunts and uncles and cousins. Sometimes his stubborn cheerfulness cheered us up, and sometimes it broke our hearts.
His circle of deeply valued friends appreciated his good humour and kind and gentle nature.
His eternal curiousness kept him engaged in learning the science and beauty of the universe through the latest stages of his illness.
Potter, swimmer, music-maker; lover of the forest and the lakeshore, he is now beyond suffering, and at peace.
A private family service will be held a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice Peterborough (with thanks for their exemplary care); Kawartha Potter Guild, or a charity of your choice.
