While surrounded by the love of his family, Bas passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in his 90th year. Bas was born in New Zealand on December 5, 1934, to the late John and Pearline (nee Mudford) Dick. Loving father of Brandon Steele and L’Anne Greene (Daniel). Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bas is preceded in death by his siblings Ian, Ron, Doug, Noel and Ruth. Bas will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children, extended family, friends and all who knew him. In keeping with Bas’ wishes, an intimate burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery. In memory of Bas, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated and can be made; along with expressions of condolence, below.
