CHIPPURE, Claire Marie – Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital with family by her side on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 in her 101st year. Claire Marie Chippure (nee Lafortune) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Lawrence Chippure. Much loved and cherished mother of Diane Vaillancourt (Yvon), Paul (Wendy), Clarence, Tom (Debbie), Bruce (Michelle), Brian (Connie), Carole Belisle and Rachelle Gauthier (Jean-Paul). Caring grandmother of the late Lory, Jennifer, Peter, Sarah, Joey, Michael, Rebecca, Katie and Jonathan. Sadly missed by 10 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Lucille Pitre. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to express sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff at the Caressant Care Cobden Nursing Home for their love, kindness and excellent care given to their mother.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, September 27th, 2024 after 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Pembroke on Friday, September 27th, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke.
