MCGILLIVRAY, Amanda Bridgette – Peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 in her 42nd year. Amanda McGillivray of Pembroke, beloved daughter of Barry and Maureen McGillivray (nee Steele). Loving mother of Gabriella McGillivray (Mike Hartwig), Logan Forrest and Katrina Desjardins. Caring grandmother of Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ann Lynn Leclerc. Dear sister of Amy (Tim) Quade and Rebecca (James) Sebele. Sadly missed by niece Tessa Jill Sebele, by aunts Leanne (Gordon) Thom, Barbara (Marc) Letellier, Sandra (Ken) Lowe and Maura Middlestead, by uncles Robert (Shelley) Steele, Patrick (Brenda) McGillivray and Mike (Susan) Angel, and by cousins Matthew (Emilie) Steele, Erin Steele, Sarah (Brendan) Mellish, Katie (Nick) Hollahan, Andrew (Shannon) McGillivray, Brandan (Mary-Ann) McGillivray, Cameron Priebe and Lindsay (Nick) Tourangeau. Predeceased by grandparents David and Jill Steele, and Norm and Anne McGillivray. Amanda had the sweetest disposition and would do absolutely anything for anyone who needed help. Her 3 children were her everything and who she loved and adored to the moon and back. In 2021 she was blessed to become a Nanna to Elizabeth Ann Lynn. Amanda was a proud member of the youth choir, was an altar server and reader at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Pembroke. As a child she nurtured her vegetable garden and assisted her maternal grandparents with theirs and won a Junior Horticultural Award for her efforts. She leaves behind her very best friend and confidant Nancy Page along with her beloved pets Bailey, Lucy and Pip who she adored. Amanda gave 15 plus years of dedicated service at all 3 locations of Tim Hortons in Pembroke. She started as a front counter team member and was ultimately promoted to store manager at the downtown location, affectionately known as 163.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke on Monday, December 23rd, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke.
