Peacefully at Lakeland Long Term Care on Friday October 27, 2023, at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late Archie. Beloved mother of Glenn (Nichole) and Janet. Cherished grandmother of Charlie (Ushnik), Jarett and Devon. Proud great grandmother of Veda and Davy. She will be missed by her nephew Wayne (Susan) and niece Carol (Nigel).
Originally from Yorkshire, England, Winnie came to Canada in 1947 and fell in love with the quaint fishing village of Bronte. It was here she married Archie, built a house, and raised a family.
Winnie was a kind, positive person who was happy with the little things in life. Most of all she enjoyed a good laugh with family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St Parry Sound) on Tuesday October 31, 2023 from 11 AM – 1 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 1 PM. Private family interment at Humphrey Rosseau Cemetery. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations to Lakeland Long Term Care would be appreciated by the family.
