Guilherme Jorge, known as Bill, passed away on June 4, 2024 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, after a sudden illness. He will be missed greatly by his wife, Alda, daughters Marissa (Morgan), Patricia, Jenny-Lee, granddaughter Mia, sisters Cecilia (Norman) and Rosa (Bill), his mother Maria Delfina, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Adriano and Fernanda, nieces, nephews and a great many friends.
Born in Faial, Azores, he immigrated to Canada as a young boy with his family and soon took up a great love of sports, especially hockey and his beloved Montreal Canadiens. Bill was a fan of music, as a listener, an avid collector of basses and guitars and as a regular member in bands in the Portuguese community in Toronto, as well as local jam bands.
Always first on the dance floor, interested in trying new foods and quick with a laugh, he had a great love for life. A long time employee of the Ford Motor Company, he was also a fan of collecting cars.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead we ask that you go out and do something in his honour that will bring a smile to your face and a laugh so deep it fills your heart.
