Peacefully at home on Monday October 14, 2024 at the age of 74. Survived by loving wife of 51 yrs. Pat. Proud father of sons Jay (Sarah) and Shawn (Lisa). Cherished grandchildren Nyah, Ronan and Mia.
Brother to Gayle Kafka (Bill), Adele Patterson, and Rob Patterson (Lynne)
Predeceased by his parents Duncan and Shirley Patterson.
Survived by many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.

And in between lay our love and respect for each other, our family and our friends.
Blair was a “builder” at the soul of his being… he built relationships with everyone he met…. he built solid friendships that lasted his lifetime…he built a happy marriage that survived the test of time. He built the dreams for our many homes and businesses and the homes and backyards of his customers and friends…he built two sons to be the best men they can be…..He was my ‘tower of strength’…..my protector, my best friend and my love.
He was a husband, father, son, brother, cousin and an uncle but even more than that he was a true gentleman of high integrity, true grit, a never ending ‘sense of duty’ to his fellow man and he possessed an extraordinary ‘sense of humour’.
Over his lifetime Blair enjoyed his beloved ‘Habs’ the Montreal Canadiens, playing golf and in particular watching the Masters, playing and coaching hockey, reading history and sharing its’ many relevant lessons, and his Friday night beers around the woodstove with his patrons.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 2 – 5 PM. Words of remembrance at 3 PM. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Harvest Share (92 James St. Parry Sound P2A 1T7) would be appreciated by the family.
