SYNEK, Joy Lynne
Joy Lynne Synek passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on March 5, 2024, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Cherished wife of Blaine Synek and beloved mother of Alyssa and Matthew. Daughter of the late Peter Engler and Sharron Engler. Sister of Dana Engler (Caroline), Shelly Johnson (Rob), Elan Slack (Peter), and Lori Todd (J). She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and by her many friends she met along the way.
Joy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an adventurous companion, enjoying life, especially travelling and golfing. Her bright spark of life made us laugh and be silly. She drew from the energy and love that surrounded her to build a diverse and always connected family.
The illness took much of her from us for years, and she is finally at peace. She will be missed and always fondly remembered in our family and beyond.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Patrick Fallowfield Parish on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
