It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Cherry. Robert passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife Lee by his side in the early morning of June 1st, 2024 at the age of 75.
Loving husband of 20 years to Lee Rosas-Shapiro. Brother to Devora Resnick (Jean) ; brother-in-law to Isolda Rosas (Kevin Goddard) ; step-father to Rosa Laborde (Daniel Kidney) and Devora Shapiro (Mark Humphreys) ; loving step-Zaide to Dalia, Eliana, and Kaila.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Sylvia (nee Schiller) and Isadore Cherry.
Robert will be fondly remembered for his beautiful voice, unwavering honesty, as well as his ability to always be true to himself and never hide his unique personality. He adored his wife and family and always felt so grateful to have found us. He was an integral part of our family and we loved him very much
An avid radio amateur, Robert spent most of his free time pursuing this hobby which gave him so much joy. He was also very passionate about helping those in need and advocated for people with disabilities and those in less fortunate circumstances. He was a steadfast champion of the underdog. We will miss him dearly
