C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Raymond Payer. Il est décédé paisiblement le 25 septembre 2023, à l’âge de 73 ans, entouré de sa famille. Il était le fils de feu Delphis Payer et de feu Jeannette Payer (née Monast) et l’époux bien-aimé de Madeleine Payer (née Malboeuf). Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants dont il était très fier, Annie Payer (Shane Henderson) et Martin Payer (Gabrielle Gauvin) ainsi que ses petits-enfants adorés Liam Henderson et Rose Payer. Il laisse aussi sa sœur Pierrette Vaux (Maurice) et son frère Gilles Payer (Lorraine Hotte), ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et ami(e)s. Il fut prédécédé par sa sœur Suzanne Sarault (Gilles) et son frère Roger Payer (feu Mariette Renaud).
La famille désire remercier le Centre d’Accueil Champlain, spécialement les employé(e)s du 2e étage pour leur compassion, leur soutien et les excellents soins prodigués pendant plus de 4 ans.
La famille recevra parents et ami(e)s le dimanche 15 octobre 2023 de 10h à 12h au Complexe funéraire Héritage (1250, chemin Trim, Orléans, ON) pour ceux et celles qui désirent offrir leurs condoléances. Le service commémoratif aura lieu à 12h et une réception pour célébrer la vie de Raymond suivra.
En mémoire de Raymond, des dons à la Fondation Centre d’Accueil Champlain ou à La Société de la Démence du comté d’Ottawa et Renfrew seraient grandement appréciés.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Payer. He passed away, peacefully, on September 25, 2023, at the age of 73, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Delphis Payer and the late Jeannette Payer (born Monast) and the beloved husband to Madeleine Payer (born Malboeuf). He leaves in sadness his children Annie Payer (Shane Henderson) and Martin Payer (Gabrielle Gauvin) as well as his treasured grand-children Liam Henderson and Rose Payer. He leaves in sorrow his sister Pierrette Vaux (Maurice) and his brother Gilles Payer (Lorraine Hotte), as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Suzanne Sarault (Gilles) and his brother Roger Payer (late Mariette Renaud).
The family would like to thank the Centre d’Accueil Champlain, especially the employees of the 2nd floor for their compassion, support and excellent care provided during the past four years.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Road, Orleans, ON) for those who wish to offer their condolences. The commemorative service will take place at 12pm, followed by a reception to celebrate the life of Raymond.
In memory of Raymond, donations to the Foundation Centre d’Accueil Champlain or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be greatly appreciated.
