Pierre “Pete” Allen was an amazing family man. He was a devoted husband. The love for his wife Pat, knew no bounds. He loved his family deeply and they were his pride and joy. In him, you had a caring friend for life. Pierre was a genuine, kind and noble gentleman.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that our family announces his passing on April 30th, 2024. After losing his battle with cancer, he left this world to be welcomed in heaven and into the loving arms of God. It is comforting to know that he will also be reunited with the love of his life Pat who passed 2 months ago.
Pierre was born in Gatineau, Quebec on 23 March 1940 to proud parents Hector and Amanda Allen.
Pierre accomplished many things during his lifetime though for him, his greatest achievement was to have been married to Pat for 64 years, proudly raising their sons, welcoming and enjoying spending time with their grandchildren, travelling the world and most of all, living life’s precious moments together.
Pierre will be greatly missed by his sons: Dan, James (Ruth), Ron (Lea); Grandchildren: Rob (Charlene), Mandy, Nataly, Nelly and Justine.
The family wishes to thank the Palliative Team of Doctors and Nurses who compassionately cared for Pierre at the General Hospital in his last days. We also wish to thank our extended family and caring friends for your kind words of sympathy and for keeping us in your prayers. You are all very much appreciated.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orleans, Ontario on Thursday, May 9th, 2024. Visitation begins at 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:30am with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.
