Patricia (Pat) Mary Moran
Passed away peacefully at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice Kanata on Thursday October 24, 2024 at the age of 94.
Born (Temiscaming QC) to the late George and Laura (Burke) Ryan of Buckingham Quebec. She obtained her Post Secondary / teacher’s college degree and decided to work as a Dental assistant.
There she met her great love Jim (James Emmett Moran 1926-2000). Together they raised a family (Robert (Debbie) , Dennis (Jane), Linda, Joanne, Brian (Anne), Allan and David (Jennifer)) and lived in the Ottawa area for over 50 years.
She worked in Administrative Services for Bell Canada, after successfully raising her 7 children, retiring in the early 1980’s. Jim took an assignment with Bell Canada International which took them to postings in Trinidad -Tobago and Grenada.
Upon their return she opened a retail business (In Fine Company), first at Carlingwood mall then Hazledean.
She will be dearly missed by all her children, sisters (Margery, Theresa and Mary), many grand children / great grand children as well as nieces, nephews and their children.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Amica at Westboro, Ruddy-Shenkman and the Ottawa Hospital (Civic campus).
There will be a funeral mass at 1:00pm on Friday Nov 8, 2024 at St. John the Apostle (Greenbank Road). A celebration of life in is also being planed for later in December.
Donations can be made to Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice 110 McCurdy Drive in lieu of flowers.
