Obituary of Michael Francis Kemp
Michael Francis Kemp, born on June 22, 1951, in London, England, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Christine Kemp, a devoted father to Jamie, David, and Rebecca Kemp, and a cherished grandfather to Charlotte Kemp.
Michael was a pioneer and well-respected member of the high technology community and a proud co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Liquid Computing. While most fathers were building train and railway sets for their children, Michael would build computers for his.
Michael was known for his kindness and support, but he was also loved for his ability to make people laugh and for always seeing the humour in everything around him. He had a way of brightening up any room and will be remembered for the joy and warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.
A private family service will be held to remember him. Instead of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Michael’s name.
