MONETTE, Mary Agnes
1929-2024
Peacefully, on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 95 years of age, Mary passed away at the Queensway Carleton Hospital under the compassionate care of Emergency Room staff.
Mary was predeceased by her dear husband, Ervyn Monette, her parents, Arthur Murtagh and Elsie Rusenstrom and siblings Norman, Arthur, Lois Steen (late Wilf), Shirley Ranger (late Bernie) and her cherished twin sister, Mae Gardner (late Leo). Mary leaves behind her dearly loved brother Bryan (Wendy McGlashan), and many nieces and nephews who hold fond memories of time spent with her at her home and cottage.
Mary enjoyed a long successful career in the federal government and spoke so fondly of the friends she made during her career.
A private Celebration of Mary’s life and interment will be held at a later date.
For those wishing, memorial contributions to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
