It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Thomas John Burke, known as Mark Burke a.k.a Sparky, a beloved husband, stepfather, father who left us on October 27, 2024 at the age of 64, after a brief battle of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. He was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him, remembered for his incredible work ethic, unwavering bravery, and boundless love for his family.
Born on June 22, 1960 in Ottawa, Ontario dedicated his life to providing for his loved ones. A self-made man, he worked tirelessly to create a better future for his family, demonstrating a commitment to hard work that inspired everyone around him. A man who is always ready to lend a hand and share his knowledge with others.
Throughout all of his life, Mark faced challenges with courage and determination. He was known for sticking to his decisions, always battling hard for what he believed in and what he loved. Even in the final days with us. His generosity extended beyond his family; he was a friend to many and often offered his time and support to those in need.
Mark leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife Rebecca whom they were married for 12 years.
Our family would like to thank Father Victor Mateo of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and Fr. Pierre of St. Monica Parish, and all our community group for the prayers and blessings for Mark.
The family also thanks the various medical doctors and nurses who supported Mark through his battling of cancer.
Though he may no longer walk among us, Mark spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
