Obituary of Louise Armstrong
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Armstrong, who left us on Friday, August 30, 2024. Louise was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, and devoted sister, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Louise is survived by her sons, David Armstrong and Kevin Armstrong (Jessica Lilley), and their father, Gerry Armstrong. She was a beloved grandmother to Madison, Taylor, and Sydney, who will greatly miss their Nana. Louise is also remembered with affection by her sisters, Florence Labelle and Francine Richer (Jean-Louis Richer). She was predeceased by her parents, Rita and Philip Filion; her brother, Robert Filion; and her sister, Denise Hunt.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., at Cole Funeral Services and Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow in the Pinecrest Solarium.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation and The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
Louise’s warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
