Indukumar Maganlal Rash was born in Kampala, Uganda on September 28, 1942 the 4th of 8 children of Maganlal Bhanji Rash and Kasturben Maganlal Rash.
After completing high school in Kampala, he attended Elphinstone College in Mumbai. This was followed by a Masters from the London School Of Economics.
Indukumar emigrated to Canada in 1968 where he worked as an economics specialist in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa until he retired.
He was married to Daksha; together they welcomed their son Sagar in June 1994. Indu was dedicated to his family and extended family and was always there to lend a hand when needed.
Indukumar had a variety of interests ranging from singing, philosophy, art, poetry, writing, oratory, story telling and he enjoyed going for long bicycle rides on his distinctive yellow or red bicycles.
Indukumar, a much loved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and great uncle passed away peacefully at the age of 82 at home on October 29, 2024 surrounded by his family.
