Obituary of Helen Wallace (nee Benoit)
It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to Helen Wallace on April 9, 2024. Helen was the beloved wife of Patrick Wallace for almost 60 years and loving mother to Wendy Gallinger (Ron), Stephen Wallace and Bonnie Badour (Dave). Helen was a cherished grandmother (Nanny) to Thomas Paget, Jessica Paget, Sadie Badour, Naomi Badour, Erin Badour, and step-grandmother to Jodi Gallinger (Richard) and Sara Gallinger (Ian). Helen is survived by four siblings: Ryan Benoit (late Gisele), Barbara Graham (Dave), Keith Benoit (Rita) and Phyllis Kealey (late Elwyn). Helen was predeceased by her sister, Anna Stewart (late Jim). She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at a funeral mass at St. John the Apostle Church, 2340 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ontario on Tuesday, April 16th at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will follow at a later date on Grand-Calumet Island, Quebec.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Care Ottawa (Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice) or The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
