Obituary of Helen Collinson
Helen Collinson passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Born on March 21, 1932, in Stinatz, Austria she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Peter who passed away on January 23, 2022. They shared 64 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love and cherished memories. Helen was the loving mother of daughters, Janet (son-in-law Russell) and Sandy. Loving Baba of grandchildren Melissa, Katrina (Martin) and Stephen (Jennifer) and great grandchildren Avery, Dalie, Sophia and Scarlett. She is also survived by her younger sister Theresia and many nieces and nephews around the world.
Helen will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family. It was her greatest joy to have the family together for dinner and cook her specialties for them. Helen’s memory will live on through the cherished recipes she lovingly passed down, the stories of her journey from Austria to her life in Canada, and in the unconditional love of her family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2024, at 1pm in the chapel at Highland Park Cemetery, Carp, ON.
